Light: bright, indirect light; avoid direct hot sun and deep low light. Water: water when the top 1-2 inches of soil feel dry, roughly every 5-7 days locally; drain thoroughly. Avoid overwatering, the top cause of decline. Soil: well-draining mix (peat, perlite, vermiculite); pot must have good drainage given seasonal heavy rain. Humidity: PH's humidity (40%+ preferred) is well covered naturally. Feeding: balanced liquid fertiliser during the rainy/growing season only. Common issues: sensitive to fluoride/chlorine/calcium in tap water -- brown frond tips result; filtered or rainwater is preferable.

Port Harcourt / Nigeria climate note: hot year-round (approx. 25-34C) with high humidity (avg ~71%, rising to 80-88% in the rainy season, May-Oct). This generally means less need for artificial humidity for humidity-loving plants when kept outdoors, faster soil drying in heat for well-drained pots, and a real risk of overwatering/root rot for drought-tolerant plants if exposed to heavy seasonal rain without good drainage.
