Light: bright, direct to very bright indirect light. Water: let soil dry out completely between waterings, then water deeply -- every 10-14 days in Port Harcourt's heat (faster-drying than cooler climates). Soil: fast-draining cactus/succulent mix; pot must have drainage holes, critical during heavy rains. Humidity: low humidity preferred but tolerates PH ambient humidity fine if soil drains fast. Feeding: diluted cactus fertiliser once or twice in the rainy season only. Common issues: rot from prolonged wet soil is the main local risk given heavy rainfall -- keep sheltered from uncovered downpours.

Port Harcourt / Nigeria climate note: hot year-round (approx. 25-34C) with high humidity (avg ~71%, rising to 80-88% in the rainy season, May-Oct). This generally means less need for artificial humidity for humidity-loving plants when kept outdoors, faster soil drying in heat for well-drained pots, and a real risk of overwatering/root rot for drought-tolerant plants if exposed to heavy seasonal rain without good drainage.
