Light: medium to bright indirect light; never direct sun. Water: keep soil consistently moist, never soggy -- check every 2-4 days as PH's heat speeds up drying. Use filtered or rainwater; Calathea is sensitive to tap-water chemicals. Soil: light, well-draining, moisture-retentive mix; pot needs drainage. Humidity: PH's high ambient humidity (often 80%+ in rainy season) suits this plant well outdoors; AC'd rooms will dry the air and need a pebble tray or misting. Feeding: diluted balanced fertiliser monthly, rainy season only. Common issues: curling/browning leaf tips = low humidity (mainly an indoor/AC issue here) or hard tap water.
